Experience African and African diaspora music and movement at Africa to Austin Festival 2026, taking place November 6–8 across three Austin venues. Hosted by Aboubacar Sylla and Bramaya West African Drum and Dance Ensemble, the festival features live performances, hands-on workshops and a free community celebration.
Learn from master artists representing Guinea, Zimbabwe and Ivory Coast through dance, djembé, dundun and balafon classes. All experience levels are welcome, including beginners. Drums are available to rent on workshop days.

- 11:15 AM–12:45 PM: Dance with Rujeko Dumbutshena or balafon with Abou Sylla. These sessions run simultaneously.
- 1:00–2:30 PM: Djembé with Soriba Fofana or dance with Mami Camara. These sessions run simultaneously.
- 2:45–4:00 PM: Dance with Jean Claude Lessou.
- 7:30–9:00 PM: Evening performance of Namunyi Faré.
