A very special classical music concert by internationally renowned Indian violinist, Indradeep Ghosh and Pakistani tabla player, Yousuf Kerai demonstrating the music transcends borders.
Known as the “Prince of Violin”, Indradeep Ghosh is one of the premier Indian classical violinists and a trailblazer for the Maihar Gharana. He is one of the few Classical violinists to play a unique, custom made five-string violin and viola with eight sympathetic strings, modeled after the Norwegian Hardanger fiddle which gives a fuller tone and resonating effect. He performs regularly for national radio and TV channels in India, as well as performing extensively worldwide. He has to his credit many classical and fusion music albums and is the only Indian violinist to release a commercial viola (bass violin) album titled “Tribute to Miyan Tansen on Viola”. He also contributed to the album, Melodic Intersect: One Vision, which won the Akademia Music Award.
