We are in need of rehoming our SMART SWEET Tuxedo cat named Padre.
He is neutered.
Padre is about 8/9 years old, weighs about 22 lbs. He is MOSTLY an inside cat but needs a protective/safe space for
some outside time during small time periods during the day; fenced back yard or some acres, we're home all the time so we can easily keep a eye on him. He usually tells us when he is ready to come back inside by showing up at the sliding
glass door. Padre currently has over 5 fenced acres to roam but generally stays fairly near/close to the house & barn.
We have another male Tuxedo cat and the two do not get along and have to be separated so Padre should probably be
in a one cat home. He gets along with "non-aggressive" medium sized dogs (our Icelandic dogs were 25 to 35 pounds). He has not been around other larger or smaller dogs.
He is talkative, friendly/affectionate with adults, who he seeks out, but has never been around children so it is an unknown as to how he would react.
We feed him quality dry food (Fromm brand usually Surf & Turf or Salmon Tunachovy flavor (we stopped feeding him wet food (MEAT) as he was gaining too much weight).
He still has his front (all) claws to enable him to climb trees or protect himself if needed from varmints such as fox, raccoons, coyotes, that on our property at times. For us, he is not a furniture scratcher, but he does not have full access to the
whole house.
He is not use to roads or passing traffic as our gated access road dead ends at our front entrance and we have no passing side roads.
He is chipped and fully vaccinated. We use Dr. Donnie Hoff owner of Castlerock Veterinary Clinic // Castlerock Pet Hospital castlerockpethospital.org.
We are requesting a small re-homing fee. Padre will come with his litter box, water container, pad that goes under litter box along with some of his blankets/cushions.
