One respectful roommate wanted to share beautiful, bright house by April or soon after. Furnished private room/bath for $950/month with utilities covered. Lease runs for two months, with month-by-month option to continue on through up to 6 months. Room on its own hallway is 10 X 10 ft, with upscale queen futon with drawers, ceiling fan, TV chest and lamp. Medium, lighted walk-in closet, outlets all walls, flat-screen TV with Roku so you can access your favorite services or free movie options – and free wireless! Full-sized, renovated bath right next door is all yours, and I am the only other human occupant. Washer/dryer on site, and free use of all kitchen appliances, as well as driveway or street parking available.

I’ve been a Superhost on AirBnB twice. For an added $40/month, I can provide bathroom towels, pillow, quality sheets, blankets, hangers, an ironing board, and iron. I have a German/Australian shepherd mix who’s 50 lbs. and 2 years old. She loves people but is cautious/anxious at first and takes some getting used to new folks, so I’d crate her during the initial tour. Then getting to know Winnie would involve hanging out on the front yard talking with me, ignoring her until she settles down, then hanging out in the backyard for 5-10 more minutes, and then going inside from the backdoor at first. If you're able to not make eye contact and maintain a calm voice, she usually lies down after 30 min.s or so, and has never shown signs of biting anyone, though it might take some days overall before she fully trusted you indoors (a shelter dog previously, she appears to have had things thrown at her, based on reactions at first to a male friend when he picked an object up indoors); she’s been called a rock star with staff and all sized dogs at her playcare.

Very quiet ‘hood, and I rarely play music and such, partly from working on site. House is in subdivision off of E. Riverside with long-term neighbors who are friendly. Bamboo floors in halls, and LR. Beautiful backyard draws hummingbirds, and front porch has swing.

Just a few miles from hiking trails, two major parks, Super HEB, library, and Starbucks is close by. 10 min. to downtown, and on bus route to airport (a few miles from there, and from major bus routes). Since tenants sometimes have allergies, no heavy perfumes etc. are allowed in the rental room, and no smoking, vaping, drug or alcohol use allowed inside or on the property (though wine and such with a meal is fine).

I'm a morning person and a busy, professional female in a creative field who also teaches self-defense for fun. I'm also honest and reliable, and look for the same. Hablo Español un poco, y quiero practicar mas.
