Presented by the Houston Barbecue Festival, Saint Arnold Brewing Company and Goodstock by Nolan Ryan, the event challenges participating pitmasters to create original dishes representing the diverse flavours of Houston-style barbecue.

Admission includes unlimited samples of every competition entry. Saint Arnold beer will also be served at no additional charge. A panel of barbecue experts will select the Judges’ Choice winner through blind tasting, while guests can vote for their favourite dish in the People’s Choice competition.

Participating restaurants include Charm Taphouse & BBQ, Chavo’s BBQ, Chicano BBQ, Daddy Duncan’s BBQ, Deckle & Hide, Eastbound Barbecue, Fire Craft BBQ, Koop’s BBQ Kitchen, La Cruda Brand BBQ, Space City BBQ, The Pit Room, The Station at Smokey Oaks and Weaver’s BBQ. Additional participants are expected to be announced.

General admission is advertised at $75 before applicable fees and includes entry and competition samples. VIP admission is advertised at $130 before fees and includes access to the private Saint Arnold Investor’s Pub for viewing the judges’ panel. Only a limited number of tickets are available.
