Discover the techniques behind popular Asian dumplings in this hands-on cooking class in downtown Houston. Designed for beginners and cooking enthusiasts alike, the session offers an interactive introduction to preparing fillings, folding dumplings, cooking them properly, and serving them with flavorful dipping sauces.
Participants will be guided step by step through basic knife skills, dumpling filling preparation, and traditional folding techniques. The class covers several popular dumpling shapes, including mandu, gyoza, and shumai.
Guests will prepare chicken and vegetable dumplings and learn different cooking methods, including boiling and pan-frying. After preparing and cooking the dumplings, participants can plate and enjoy their creations together.
No previous cooking experience is required. All necessary ingredients and equipment are provided during the class. Guests attending in the same booking group will work together and share ingredients and cooking equipment throughout the session.
