The Consulate General of India, Houston, invites Indian nationals, members of the Indian-American community, friends of India and their families to celebrate India’s 80th Independence Day on Saturday, August 15, 2026.
The programme will include the ceremonial hoisting of the Indian National Flag, a tribute to India’s freedom fighters and a celebration of the country’s journey towards the vision of Viksit Bharat@2047. The gathering will highlight the spirit of unity, diversity and patriotism while strengthening connections within the Greater Houston Indian community.
