Hi, my name is Sam, and I'm an experienced musician and teacher (over 20 years of teaching experience). My goal is to help you reach your goals, and have fun doing it!

I offer in-home lessons in piano, as well as ear training, sight singing, music theory, composition, and arranging from complete beginner to advanced, using a clear, proven approach that builds confidence.

I also offer lessons in music production, from building a music PC yourself to setting up a home studio, and learning how to use a DAW (especially Cubase) like a pro, including MIDI, recording, mixing, and more.

I also love to teach computer-based music notation programs, my software of choice is Dorico.

I studied arranging and composition at the Grove School of Music, and was fortunate to study privately under some world-class musicians. I believe music should be approached by ear first, and then notation, just as we learn a language. However, I'm equally comfortable teaching notation, and I adapt my lessons to your needs and favored approach.
