Hansika made her Telugu debut as a lead actress in Desamuduru (2007), which brought her into the limelight. She followed it with other successful Telugu films like Kantri (2008) and Maska (2009).
Her Tamil cinema debut came with Mappillai (2011), after which she featured in numerous commercially successful Tamil films such as Engeyum Kadhal, Velayudham, Oru Kal Oru Kannadi, Theeya Velai Seiyyanum Kumaru, Singam II, and Aranmanai.
In addition to Tamil and Telugu films, Hansika also made her Malayalam film debut with Villain (2017), starring alongside Mohanlal.
