The Income Tax Department has come down on the offices belonging to leading Tollywood production house Mythri Movie Makers. IT officials have been reportedly verifying the accounts and fiscal records of Mythri since today morning.
The IT raids started in the morning and they’re expected to go on till the end of the day today, if not more. All the offices pertaining to Mythri are under the IT radar and the raiding is underway.
The houses of the men in command at the production house, Naveen, and Ravi are also being raided, say media reports.
The IT department is said to be investigating the financial situation and the bill transactions that were being carried out by the production house.
This comedy just weeks before two of Mythri’s upcoming films, Waltair Veerayya and Veera Simha Reddy gear up for theatrical release next Sankranthi season.
An official word on the IT raids are yet to be communicated. More details in this regard will be out in the due course.
