Even as he waits for the release of his upcoming movie Varisu, which will take place in less than two weeks, actor Vijay started filming his upcoming untitled Tamil production. Following this, Mahesh Babu's supporters reacted to Vijay's dedication to his projects on social media. They wished their hero would soon start production on his next movie. Some even expressed their desire for him to spend less time on holidays.

Following Master, Vijay and director Lokesh Kanagaraj are back again in a new movie. The undertaking is presently known as Thalapathy 67. On Monday, shooting for the movie began in Chennai. Mahesh Babu's fans immediately expressed their disappointment on social media. They said they wished their star would put in just as much effort as Vijay. They wished that he wouldn't take such long breaks between projects.

A fan wrote in Telugu, “It’s amazing how Vijay doesn’t take breaks between projects and is constantly working. Wish Mahesh Babu also works like that.” Another fan said, “Without wasting time, he’s always striving to do films for his fans. That commitment is something.” A comment read, “Take this as a challenge bro @urstrulyMahesh.”

Ajith's Thunivu and Vijay's Varisu will clash at the box office. Sarkaru Vaari Paata, Mahesh Babu's last film, came out in May 2022. He has not yet started on his upcoming movie, which he would be working on with director Trivikram Srinivas.

But, even before the release of his finished project, Varisu, Vijay has already started production on his new movie. The film, which will be simultaneously shot in Tamil and Telugu and is directed by Vamshi Paidipally. The film also stars Rashmika Mandanna.
