Star producer Dil Raju always advocates optimal release plans for big ticket films. He is always in the lookout to avert direct box office clashes with other biggies. He recently stated the same as he announced it isn't wise for two big films to clash on the same day as it will only damage each other's box office prospects.
Incidentally, Dil Raju has gone back on his own word now and this has become a topic of discussion on social media.
Dil Raju announced that Varasudu (Varisu in Tamil) will be releasing on the very same day as its direct Tamil counterpart - Thunivu. This announcement came just a few hours post the announcement from the makers of Thunivu.
Dil Raju's double standard in regard to the box office clash between two back in the day, and now, with he himself pitting Varasudu against Thunivu has led to stern criticism.
As per the new release plans, Varasudu and Thunivu will be releasing on the 11th of January while Veera Simha Reddy will release on the 12th of January and Waltiar Veerayya will release on the 13th of January.
