Rajinikanth is badly in need of commercial success now as all of his recent films have been bombing at the box office. His upcoming film, Thalaivar170 was officially announced today.

Luckily for Rajini’s fans, the senior star is collaborating with a talented young filmmaker, TJ Gnanavel for his next.

Gnanavel made his debut with Jai Bhim which is a critically acclaimed super hit on OTT. He is now set to direct Rajini for his next.

Today on the ocassion of our beloved "Chairman" Subaskaran's birthday, Lyca Productions is feeling acclaimed & honoured in announcing "Superstar" Rajinikanth's "#ThalaivarI70" film under our banner. This film will be directed by TJ Gnanavel, will have music by "Rockstar" Anirudh and produced by Subaskaran, the communication from the makers read today.
