Samantha's Shakuntalam is having its theatrical release on the 14th of April and the stakes are high on this film as it is the costliest project in Sam's career thus far.

Interestingly, enough, the makers of the mythological love drama went for early premiered for select members of the public. The special shows were screened in Hyderabad the other day and the same was attended by the public. 

A few select media people were also invited for the event and this is pretty much a standard practise these days, as revealed by Dil Raju himself. 

But sadly for the makers of Shakuntalam, these special shows prospect has come back to bite them in the wrong place. The film has opened to largely poor reviews from the premiere shows, meaning that the negative talk is spreading even before the film's release. 

While we wait for a full review of the film in a few hours from now, the negative talk from the premieres is spreading like wildfire and this is hard to contend with for the makers of the Samantha starrer.
