Salaar is one of the most anticipated projects in the making in Indian cinema and the film is finally set for its theatrical debut on the 22nd of this month. 

As per the latest reports, the makers of the Prabhas starrer have signed a mega deal for the OTT rights of the film. It is heard that Netflix paid in the range of Rs 200 crores for the post theatrical OTT rights of Salaar.

The OTT giant has reportedly paid the whopping amount of money as they highly rate the coming together of Prabhas and Prashanth Neel. They have invested heavily in the project as they are hoping that the film will be a Rs 1000 crore grosser at the box office and that will help it to have a  good run on OTT. 

The film will be made available for streaming on OTT at least 8 weeks post its theatrical release and that is according to the standard agreement from the makers and the OTT platform. 

Netflix plans to stream Salaar from February, if not later and the OTT giant is hoping that this film will be as big of a hit as RRR was for Netflix following its OTT debut.
