Official: One film opts out of Sankranthi race

The Sankranthi seasons is nearly upon us as the flurry of new films are set for release next weekend. The list of films include Guntur Kaaram, Saindhav, Naa Saami Ranga and Hanuman.

Coming to the topic, Eagle which was also scheduled for release during the Sankranthi season has now opted out of the Sankranthi season in the last minute.

Tollywood producers guild held a meeting in Hyderabad today and the makers of Eagle have announced that they are postponing the release of their film in order to reduce the influx of new releases this Sankranthi and contribute to the overall good of Tollywood.

Eagle has now moved to the 9th of February and the film has been assured of a solo release on that day as a token of gratitude for reducing the competition this Sankranthi season.

As things stand, Guntur Kaaram is releasing on the 12th of this month and so is Hanuman on the same day. Then there is Sanidhav which is releasing on the 13th of this month. Naa Saami Ranga is releasing on the 14th of this month.
