Last Sanrkanthi season, two Tollywood veterans Megastar Chiranjeevi and Nandamuri Balakrishna clashed at the box office with Waltair Veerayya and Veera Simha Reddy respectively.
While Waltair Veerayya grossed over RS 250 crores at the box office, Veera Simha Reddy grossed over Rs 150 crores. The cumulative gross of these two films is in the range of Rs 400 crore.
This Sankranthi, two other veterans, Venkatesh and Nagarjuna clashed at the box office with Saindhav and Naa Saami Ranga respectively. While Saindhav was a complete washout with less than Rs 10 crores gross, Nag's NSR grossed in the range of Rs 30 crore.
The cumulative gross of Nag and Venky this year is mere Rs 40 crore and this is nowhere near the number Chiranjeevi and Balakrishna put up in 2023.
