Rajamouli is the biggest commercial filmmaker in Indian cinema at the moment and the stakes are really high on his next film with Mahesh Babu which is tentatively titled SSMB29. 

The latest news about the film is that neither Mahesh nor Rajamouli are taking any remuneration for the film. Instead, they are taking a share in the profits of the film.

This method is to decrease the burden on the producer as it would be tough on the production house to bear the remunerations of Rajamouli and Mahesh Babu upfront and the make a mega budget film. So the idea by Mahesh and Rajamouli is to aid the production by skipping the remuneration at first. 

But the chances are that they could take 10% each from the revenues the film collects. Given Rajamouli's image in the global cinema circuit now, it is a given that the film grosser over Rs 1000 crores at the box office. At this rate, Mahesh and Rajamouli should be making at least Rs 100 crores each on SSMB29.  

The filming will commence soon and more details about the project will be out in the due course. The film is likely to be readied for release only in 2027, if not later.
