On the fourth anniversary of his death, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin announced a fitting tribute: the road in Nungambakkam where SPB once lived will now be named "S.P. Balasubrahmanyam Salai."

With a prolific career spanning over five decades, SPB recorded an astounding 40,000 songs in more than 16 languages, earning accolades as a Padma Shri and Padma Vibhushan awardee. His unique voice and unparalleled talent made him a household name, resonating across generations.

In a statement, the CM emphasized SPB’s multifaceted contributions, including his work as a composer and actor, while expressing pride in honoring the beloved artist.
