Kareena Kapoor Thanks PM Modi for Supporting Raj Kapoor's 100th Anniversary Celebration

On December 14, 2024, Raj Kapoor, one of the most celebrated figures in Indian cinema, will mark his 100th birth anniversary. To commemorate this milestone, the Kapoor family, including Bollywood stars Kareena Kapoor Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor, and others, met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi to discuss the upcoming Raj Kapoor Film Festival. The festival will span three days, from December 13-15, 2024, and showcase Raj Kapoor's iconic films across 101 cinemas in 34 cities.

Kareena Kapoor Khan took to Instagram to thank Prime Minister Modi for his warm support and for inviting the Kapoor family to New Delhi for this special occasion. She shared photos from the meeting and expressed her gratitude to the Prime Minister for acknowledging her grandfather's extraordinary life and contribution to Indian cinema. The festival will feature a retrospective of Raj Kapoor’s timeless films, which continue to inspire generations of filmmakers and actors. In her post, Kareena celebrated her grandfather's vision and artistry, emphasizing the importance of his legacy to Indian cinema.

The Kapoor family expressed hope that Prime Minister Modi would attend the event, and the film festival is expected to be one of the largest retrospectives ever dedicated to Raj Kapoor's filmography.
