Tamil superstar Vijay has recently acquired the remake rights of the Telugu hit Bhagavanth Kesari, starring Balakrishna and Sreeleela. However, it has been clarified that the actor is not planning a direct remake but instead adapting the film with significant changes to the storyline and screenplay. The Tamil version will introduce fresh elements, including a love track with Pooja Hegde and a more action-packed narrative.

The relationship between Vijay and the young actress Mamitha Baiju will be presented as a noble, guardian-young girl bond, which shares some similarities with the original film's characters. The movie will differ significantly from the Telugu version, offering a more romantic and action-driven narrative.

Vijay's next major project, tentatively titled Thalapathy 69, is also generating significant buzz. Directed by H. Vinoth and produced by KVN Productions, the film is expected to be a thought-provoking political thriller. The film will feature a powerful soundtrack by Anirudh Ravichander and Bobby Deol as the antagonist. Vijay's growing popularity in the Telugu-speaking states, fueled by the success of his dubbed films like Master, Varisu, and Leo, ensures that this new venture will also attract a wide audience.
