The film industry is abuzz with excitement following the release of the first look of Bhakasaura Restaurant, a quirky new comedy that brings popular comedian and actor Praveen to the forefront as the lead. The announcement has not only clarified circulating rumors but also introduced audiences to what promises to be a unique and entertaining cinematic experience.
Earlier this week, rumors began to surface suggesting that Praveen, known for his comic timing and strong presence in numerous hit films, was stepping away from cinema to open a real restaurant named "Bhakasaura." These reports caused a wave of confusion among fans and followers of the actor. However, the release of the film’s first poster has officially cleared the air Bhakasaura Restaurant is not a business venture but rather the title of Praveen's latest movie, in which he plays the central role.

Unveiled on Friday, the first look poster presents Praveen in an amusing culinary scene, stirring a pot with a giant ladle, surrounded by other characters in humorous and exaggerated poses. The artwork hints at the film's zany tone and comical narrative. Actors Viva Harsha and Shining Phani (also known as Bumchik Bunty) appear alongside Praveen in the promotional still, adding further intrigue with their expressions and attire, suggesting that the movie leans heavily into slapstick and situational comedy.

Directed by SJ Shiva in his directorial debut, Bhakasaura Restaurant is produced by Lakshmaiah Achari and Janardhan Achari under the SJ Movies banner. The film has already completed its shoot and is currently gearing up for release. Speaking to the media, director SJ Shiva described the project as a “hunger comedy entertainer,” a genre-blending idea that promises food-related fun, energetic performances, and an offbeat storyline. According to Shiva, the film is packed with lively scenes and surprises that will keep audiences engaged throughout. He emphasized that Bhakasaura Restaurant will showcase a new dimension of Praveen’s acting, offering a mix of humor and heartfelt emotion that departs from his usual supporting roles. The director is confident that the film’s concept will appeal to audiences across age groups, especially those looking for light-hearted, family-friendly entertainment.

Joining Praveen in this ensemble comedy are some well-known faces from Telugu cinema. Viva Harsha, who also plays a titular character, is expected to bring his signature comic style, while Krishna Bhagavan, Shining Phani, and KGF Garuda Ram add strength to the lineup. The extended cast includes Srikant Iyengar, Uppena Jayakrishna, Vivek Dandu, Amar, Rampatas, Ramya, Prachi Thakur, and Jabardasth Apparao, ensuring a colorful mix of talent and personalities on screen. Behind the scenes, the film boasts an experienced technical crew. Cinematography is handled by Bala Saraswati, and the editing is managed by Marthand K. Venkatesh, known for his crisp and engaging cuts. The music, composed by Vikas Badisa, is expected to complement the film’s lively tone, with tracks likely to highlight both comedic and emotional beats. The film’s art direction is led by Sri Raja CR Tangala, with executive production by Vinay Kotti. Public relations for the film are being managed by Eluru Srinu and Maduri Madhu.

The promotional campaign is already off to a strong start, with fans and cinema enthusiasts sharing the first look widely across social media platforms. The title itself Bhakasaura Restaurant has become a conversation starter, playing on the familiar mythological figure Bhakasaura while cleverly tying it into a food-related, comedic premise. As Telugu cinema continues to evolve, Bhakasaura Restaurant appears to offer something fresh a film that doesn’t rely solely on grandeur or action, but instead builds its strength on situational humor, character-driven storytelling, and a novel central theme. With its completed shoot and mounting buzz, the makers are likely to announce a release date soon. For fans of Praveen and Telugu comedy films in general, this upcoming release is something to look forward to. With its vibrant ensemble, witty premise, and a promise of hearty laughs, Bhakasaura Restaurant is well-positioned to serve up an entertaining feast at the box office.
