Anushka Ignores Virat’s Hand? Fans React to Viral Date Night Clip

##Anushka Sharma #Virat Kohli #celebrity news #viral video #Bengaluru

Power couple Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli stepped out for a quiet dinner in Bengaluru earlier this week, but the outing became anything but quiet once a video clip of the two went viral online. In their first public appearance since the Avneet Kaur controversy, the duo was seen arriving at a restaurant, with fans quickly spotting what they deemed an unusual moment between the two. In the viral video posted on Reddit and other social media platforms, Virat Kohli is seen extending his hand to help Anushka out of the car. However, Anushka seemingly overlooks the gesture and exits the vehicle holding the door instead, walking slightly ahead of Virat toward the restaurant. While the gesture may have been benign, the internet was quick to dissect it with its usual blend of humor and speculation.

A Reddit post titled "Virat and Anushka spotted in Bengaluru yesterday" gained traction, and fans began commenting on the visible gap between the couple’s interaction. One user jokingly referenced Kohli’s recent Instagram story saying, “Algorithm mistakenly showed that Anushka didn’t hold Virat’s hand. There was absolutely no intent behind it (sic).” Another comment read, “No more hand holding mushy mushy looking at camera and BIG grins (sic)?” Some users took a more dramatic angle, with one comment predicting, “Haath nhi pakda Anushka ne. Ab failengi divorce rumours (Anushka didn’t hold hands. Now divorce rumours will spread) (sic).”

The Avneet Kaur Controversy and Social Media Statement
This video comes on the heels of a recent controversy involving Virat Kohli, where he was called out for allegedly liking a fan-page post of actress Avneet Kaur. The post sparked unexpected backlash online, prompting Kohli to issue a clarification via Instagram Stories. In his statement, Kohli wrote, “I'd like to clarify that while clearing my feed, it appears the algorithm may have mistakenly registered an interaction. There was absolutely no intent behind it. I request that no unnecessary assumptions be made. Thank you for your understanding.”

The Bengaluru outing also follows Anushka Sharma’s 37th birthday, which she celebrated on May 1. To mark the occasion, Virat posted a heartfelt picture on Instagram, calling her “my best friend, my life partner, my safe space, my best half, my everything.” The two have been married since 2017 and are proud parents to two children daughter Vamika and newborn son Akaay, whose name was revealed earlier this year in another social media post.

Social Media Reacts, But Couple Stays Low-Key
Despite online chatter, neither Anushka nor Virat have responded to the viral video. The two are known for maintaining a relatively low profile when it comes to personal matters, often preferring to share curated glimpses into their lives via Instagram or public statements. The couple, widely admired for their strong relationship and public affection, continue to enjoy a massive fan following. However, as with any celebrity duo in the social media era, even the smallest moments such as a missed handhold can stir a storm of speculation and meme-worthy content. Whether it was a deliberate gesture or a fleeting moment caught on camera, one thing is certain when it comes to Anushka and Virat, the internet never misses a beat.
