Latest Hindi Web Series KanKhajura Teaser Out: Thriller Hits Sony LIV May 30
Sony LIV has unveiled the chilling teaser for its upcoming original series KanKhajura, a gripping psychological thriller and Hindi adaptation of the acclaimed Israeli show Magpie. Set in the hauntingly still backdrops of Goa, the teaser invites viewers into a world where silence conceals terror, and memories may become your deadliest enemy. The series will begin streaming on May 30.

In KanKhajura, guilt lingers in the air, secrets fester, and the past returns with a vengeance. This emotionally charged tale follows two estranged brothers who must reunite and confront buried traumas that refuse to stay hidden. As the line between reality and memory begins to dissolve, the story plunges into the heart of darkness within fractured families and long-held betrayal.

Roshan Mathew, who plays Ashu, offers insight into his character and the emotional power of the show:
“What drew me to KanKhajura was its emotional intensity and the stillness beneath the chaos. Ashu is a deeply layered character, fragile in moments, but with a quiet storm within. The story is heartwarming and haunting. Every relationship in the show is cracked in some way, and it’s how these characters act on those flaws that makes it so much fun to explore.”
While it stays true to the psychological tone of Magpie, KanKhajura infuses the story with an Indian cultural depth and emotional rawness that promises to resonate deeply with local audiences.

Directed by Chandan Arora and produced by Ajay Rai, KanKhajura brings together an ensemble cast including Mohit Raina, Roshan Mathew, Sarah Jane Dias, Mahesh Shetty, Ninad Kamat, Trinetra Haldar, Heeba Shah, and Usha Nadkarni. The show is adapted under license from yes Studios by original creators Adam Bizanski, Omri Shenhar, and Dana Eden, with the Indian version produced by Donna and Shula Productions. With its release date set for May 30, KanKhajura is poised to join the league of must-watch Indian thrillers. Exploring deeply personal themes of grief, guilt, survival, and fractured relationships, the show adds another bold, psychological layer to Sony LIV’s growing list of original content. For fans of suspense, slow-burn narratives, and intense performances, KanKhajura looks like a standout experience not to be missed this summer.
