Ramayana Movie First Glimpse: Cast, Budget, Release Details

The much-awaited Bollywood reimagining of the timeless epic, Ramayana, is set to captivate audiences worldwide with its grandeur and star-studded cast. Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Nitesh Tiwari, the film features Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, and Yash in the role of Ravana. This ambitious project has set high expectations, as it promises to deliver an epic visual experience, blending the soul of the original tale with modern cinematic techniques.

The Ramayana movie’s first glimpse will be unveiled on July 3, 2025, at 11:30 AM, with a simultaneous launch across nine major cities in India, including Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Pune, Kochi, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad. The much-anticipated promo will offer fans the first look at this monumental adaptation, adding to the excitement surrounding the film’s release.

The film has garnered attention not only due to its stellar cast but also its impressive production budget. With an estimated budget of approximately ₹835 crore, Ramayana surpasses the budgets of other high-profile films like Kalki 2898 AD (₹600 crore), RRR and Adipurush (₹550 crore each), positioning it as one of the most expensive Indian films ever made. The first part of the film is scheduled for release during Diwali 2026, followed by the second part in Diwali 2027.

Adding to the film’s appeal are powerful performances by Ravi Dubey as Lakshman, Sunny Deol as Hanuman, Kajal Aggarwal as Mandodari, and Lara Dutta as Kaikeyi. The movie promises to deliver an immersive experience with cutting-edge visual effects, thanks to the Oscar-winning VFX studio DNEG. As anticipation builds for the film’s release, fans are eagerly awaiting its nationwide launch and the potential to see one of the most visually stunning Indian cinematic spectacles in years.
