Kannappa Day 11 Box Office: Collections Dip to ₹15 Lakh
Vishnu Manchu’s mythological action-drama Kannappa has crossed the ₹32 crore mark at the box office, but recent figures indicate a slowdown in momentum. Released on June 27, 2025, the film opened strong with ₹30.2 crore in its first week. However, by Day 11, the collections dropped significantly, with earnings on the second Monday estimated at just ₹15 lakh, bringing the total to ₹32.08 crore across languages.
The film features special appearances by Prabhas, Akshay Kumar, Mohanlal, and Kajal Aggarwal, helping to generate pre-release excitement and early footfalls. Though the cameos were widely appreciated by audiences, especially Prabhas’ impactful appearance, the film’s overall performance has started to taper off. On Day 8, the movie earned ₹45 lakh, followed by ₹60 lakh on Day 9, showing a steady decline as the second weekend ended.
On July 7, Kannappa recorded an overall Telugu occupancy of 16.78%. Morning shows began with 18.53%, while afternoon and evening numbers dropped to 14.99% and 14.50%, respectively. Night shows saw a slight rebound with 19.11%. Despite criticism over the film’s pacing, especially in the first half, viewers have praised its visual grandeur, devotional climax, and strong performances. Sheldon Chau’s cinematography and the mythological storytelling rooted in the legend of Lord Shiva devotee Thinnadu lend the film emotional and cultural depth.
Directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh and shot largely in New Zealand, Kannappa stars Vishnu Manchu in the lead role, supported by Mohan Babu, R. Sarathkumar, Madhoo, Preity Mukhundhan, Mukesh Rishi, Brahmaji, and Brahmanandam. Whether the film can maintain steady earnings in the coming days will depend on word-of-mouth and continued interest in its mythological theme.
