Anushka Shetty's Ghaati Skips September? Release Delay Sparks Fan Confusion

Anushka Shetty, fondly called Sweety by her fans, was set to return to the big screen with her long-awaited film Ghaati. Originally scheduled to release this month, the film was postponed due to delays in its VFX work. While fans speculated that Ghaati might arrive on September 5, new developments suggest otherwise, pushing the release window further and adding to the suspense surrounding the project.

The delay has left Anushka’s fans longing for her presence, especially after her absence from the grand Baahubali 10-Year Reunion. While Ghaati initially managed to build good momentum with a promising buzz, the silence from the team since the postponement has caused a dip in promotional traction. The production house, UV Creations, has yet to confirm a revised release date, leaving fans in the dark and speculations high.

Director Krish, who is also tied up in discussions for Hari Hara Veera Mallu, has remained tight-lipped about Ghaati. The entire team seems to be fast-tracking post-production, but the uncertainty about when to release the film in theatres remains unresolved.

Interestingly, the upcoming pan-India film Mirai is holding firm to a September 5 release, suggesting stiff competition on that date. This may be prompting Ghaati’s makers to consider a solo release slot. If the film doesn’t make it to cinemas in September, it may be pushed to October, November, or even December.

The longer the delay, the greater the risk of the buzz fading. For a film that has the potential to showcase Anushka in a powerful avatar, timing is crucial. Fans are eagerly waiting for clarity, and the makers must act soon to capitalize on the anticipation before it diminishes further.
