The Raja Saab Shifts To Sankranthi 2026 For Festive Clash

Prabhas' highly anticipated film The Raja Saab, initially scheduled for a December 5th, 2025 release, has now been moved to the Sankranthi season of 2026. With Ranveer Singh's Dhurandhar and Shahid Kapoor's Romeo confirmed for the same date, the makers of The Raja Saab decided to step away from that release slot. Instead, they have locked January 10th, 2026, for the release, creating excitement for the festive season clash.

Directed by Maruthi, The Raja Saab is a horror-comedy starring Prabhas alongside Sanjay Dutt. The shift to Sankranthi 2026 places the film in direct competition with several big releases, including Chiranjeevi’s fun entertainer, Vijay’s Jana Nayagan, and Naveen Polishetty’s Anaganaga Oka Raju. Additionally, Ravi Teja’s next film with Kishore Tirumala is also expected to be part of the Sankranthi 2026 race. The Sankranthi festival season traditionally accommodates up to three major releases, making it a highly competitive but thrilling time for moviegoers.
