Leonardo DiCaprio Stopped and Searched by Cops at Ibiza Party, Travis Scott Denied Entry
Leonardo DiCaprio, the Oscar-winning actor renowned for his iconic roles in films like Titanic and Romeo and Juliet, recently found himself at the center of an unexpected security incident at an exclusive tequila party in Ibiza. The actor was briefly stopped and searched by Spanish Civil Guard officers outside the event, much to the surprise of many partygoers. The incident, however, was part of the standard security protocol followed at such high-profile events.
Footage from the event, shared by the Daily Mail, shows DiCaprio, dressed casually in an all-black outfit and his signature baseball cap, waiting in line to be searched while scrolling through his phone. Vittoria Ceretti, his rumoured partner, could also be heard in the video, saying, "They are searching me full right now."
As per reports, the search was a routine procedure requiring every guest to present their identification and undergo a pat-down. Interestingly, the officer who was conducting the search did not immediately recognize DiCaprio. According to an insider, "It’s funny. They did a double take and then let him in!"
The event, which was hosted by Spanish star Aron Piper and Patrón, took place at a private villa and attracted several well-known celebrities. Among the prominent guests at the party were Tobey Maguire, a close friend of DiCaprio, and model Kendall Jenner. DiCaprio and Maguire have worked together in the past, notably in The Great Gatsby, where they portrayed on-screen friends. While DiCaprio was able to enter the event after the security check, rapper Travis Scott did not have the same luck. Reports suggest that Scott was denied entry to the party, but the reasons behind his exclusion have not been fully disclosed.
Leonardo DiCaprio is no stranger to Ibiza and its vibrant nightlife. The actor has been spotted in the island's popular spots numerous times over the years, enjoying its beaches, yachts, and lively party scene. Just earlier this month, DiCaprio and Vittoria Ceretti were seen aboard Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez’s yacht during a stop in Spain. The couple, who have been together since the summer of 2023, often attract paparazzi attention due to their frequent public appearances.
While DiCaprio is currently taking a break from major public appearances, he was last seen in Martin Scorsese’s critically acclaimed film Killers of the Flower Moon. Based on the non-fiction book by David Grann, the film also featured Robert De Niro, Lily Gladstone, and Brendan Fraser. Looking ahead, DiCaprio is slated to appear in Paul Thomas Anderson's upcoming action-thriller, One Battle After Another, which is expected to further solidify his place in Hollywood’s elite acting circle.
