Ghaati Confirmed for September 5 Release, Mirai Eyes New Date Amid Box Office Shuffle

The upcoming battle for box office supremacy has seen some major changes in release plans. Three films Anushka Shetty’s Ghaati, Teja Sajja’s Mirai, and the small-budget Meghalu Cheppina Katha were initially slated to clash on September 5th. However, Ghaati is now confirmed for its theatrical release on September 5th, with a special US premiere on September 4th.

Directed by Krish, Ghaati is an action-packed drama where Anushka Shetty plays the role of a ganja smuggler. The film's team is gearing up for massive promotions to create buzz ahead of its release.

Mirai Delayed, New Release Dates Considered

Meanwhile, Mirai, starring Teja Sajja, has been postponed due to production delays. The makers are considering releasing it on either September 12th or September 19th. If the film is released on September 12th, it may push Bellamkonda Sreenivas and Anupama Parameswaran’s Kishkindhapuri to the following week. A final decision on the new release date for Mirai will be announced soon. The film is expected to have a significant Hindi release as well, with Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions presenting it.
