OG First Weekend Box Office: Pawan Kalyan’s Action Drama Collects Rs 133 Cr Worldwide

Pawan Kalyan’s much-awaited action entertainer OG, directed by Sujeeth and backed by DVV Entertainments, opened with record-breaking numbers. The film premiered on September 24 and was released worldwide on September 25, generating massive excitement among fans. His powerful role as gangster Ojas drew wide appreciation, setting a new benchmark for openings in his career. However, the momentum slowed after day two as collections dipped. Factors like heavy rains and steep ticket pricing limited the turnout from family audiences. Still, OG remained the biggest talking point in Tollywood’s weekend buzz.

The film’s regional earnings reflected both its strong start and the subsequent dip. In Nizam, the movie collected Rs 34.1 crore, while Ceded contributed Rs 14.88 crore. Uttarandhra brought in Rs 10.04 crore, East Rs 9.2 crore, West Rs 6.32 crore, Guntur Rs 8.78 crore, Krishna Rs 6.86 crore, and Nellore Rs 2.98 crore. This took the AP+Telangana total to Rs 93.16 crore.

Outside Telugu states, OG managed Rs 11.88 crore across the rest of India and Rs 27.98 crore from overseas, making its worldwide first weekend share Rs 133.02 crore. Considering its pre-release business of Rs 173 crore, the film now needs Rs 40.98 crore more to break even. With ticket prices expected to ease during the Dasara holidays, trade circles predict family audiences could help the film sustain.
