Mastiii 4 Gets A Certificate After CBFC Cuts Scene And Alters Dialogues

The comedy entertainer Mastiii 4, releasing on November 21, has garnered attention not only for its bold trailer but also for the censor board’s recent decisions. The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has cleared the film with an A certificate after instructing the makers to implement a set of limited edits. According to reports, the CBFC requested the removal of a nine-second top-angle animal sex scene and asked for the trimming of 30 seconds of close-up shots from certain sequences. The total deleted content amounts to 39 seconds. These selective edits allow the film to preserve most of its original tone while aligning with certification guidelines.

Along with visual edits, the board mandated changes to four dialogues. The word “behen” was replaced, and another instance required substituting the word "item" with an alternative. A reference to a real alcohol brand was also modified and replaced with a fictional company name. After completing these adjustments, Mastiii 4 officially received its certificate on November 17. The updated censor certificate lists a final runtime of 144.17 minutes—two hours, twenty-four minutes and seventeen seconds.

Directed by Milap Zaveri, Mastiii 4 brings back Riteish Deshmukh, Vivek Oberoi and Aftab Shivdasani—actors who have been central to the franchise’s identity since its inception. The latest installment expands its cast with Ruhii Singh, Shreya Sharma, Elnaaz Norouzi, Natalia Janoszek, Shaad Randhawa, Nishant Singh Malkani, Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor and Nargis Fakhri, adding fresh faces to the popular series. With the cuts completed and certification secured, the film is now ready for its theatrical release, renewing excitement among fans of the long-running comedy franchise.
