Keerthy Suresh Apologises To Chiranjeevi Fans After Vijay Dance Comment Sparks Debate
Actor Keerthy Suresh, who is gearing up for the release of her film Revolver Rita on November 28, has addressed the controversy surrounding her earlier remark where she said Vijay is a better dancer than Chiranjeevi. The comment created a stir among the veteran actor’s fans, leading Suresh to speak to the Telugu media in Hyderabad and offer a detailed explanation along with an apology. She clarified that her intention was never to compare the two stars disrespectfully but to express her personal admiration for Vijay’s dance style. She emphasised that Chiranjeevi himself is aware of her admiration for Vijay and has always taken such conversations in a light and sportive manner during their time working together.
Suresh explained that her statement had nothing to do with appearance or ranking the actors. She said she has immense love and respect for Chiranjeevi and has enjoyed collaborating with him on projects. Her comments were based on the fact that she has watched more of Vijay’s films, which naturally shaped her impression of his dancing abilities. She added that she had even shared this opinion openly with Chiranjeevi during shoots, and he appreciated her honesty without taking offence.
The actor expressed genuine regret that her words were interpreted negatively by some fans. She stated that both Chiranjeevi and Vijay are icons of Indian cinema with massive legacies, and comparing them was never her intention. She reiterated that every artiste has their strengths, and her preference was purely personal, not a judgment on their stature. Suresh said it saddened her that expressing her opinion led to misunderstanding and clarified that she holds both stars in the highest regard. As she continues promotions for Revolver Rita, she also prepares for her upcoming project Kannivedi, hoping the conversation shifts back to her films rather than controversy.
