Things moving fast for Rowdy Janardhana as Vijay Deverakonda prioritises the film

Vijay Deverakonda is currently juggling two projects at the same time, but reports suggest that his upcoming film Rowdy Janardhana is progressing at a much faster pace. After completing Kingdom, the actor began shooting for a film directed by Rahul Sankrityan, set against a Rayalaseema backdrop and announced as his 14th project. Shortly after, he also joined the sets of director Ravi Kiran Kola’s Rowdy Janardhana, which was announced as his 15th film. Among the two, Rowdy Janardhana has clearly taken the lead in terms of speed and execution.

Rowdy Janardhana, produced by Dil Raju under the banner of Sri Venkateswara Creations, was officially launched in October and moved to the shooting stage without delay. The team has already completed major portions of filming across multiple locations, including Mumbai and Hyderabad. According to the latest updates, the makers are planning to release a teaser, with December 18 being discussed as the tentative date. The teaser will officially confirm the film’s title, Rowdy Janardhana. The launch event is scheduled to take place at Prasads in Hyderabad and coincides with producer Dil Raju’s 55th birthday, making it a special occasion for the team.

Despite working on two films simultaneously, Vijay Deverakonda has reportedly given first priority to Rowdy Janardhana, as his other project involves extensive visual effects work. From January onwards, Vijay is said to have allotted his dates exclusively to this film for four continuous months. The makers are targeting a Dussehra 2026 release for this rural action drama. After wrapping up Rowdy Janardhana, Vijay Deverakonda’s film with Rahul Sankrityan, produced by Mythri Movie Makers, is expected to be lined up for release. Rowdy Janardhana stars Keerthy Suresh as the female lead, with music composed by Christo Xavier and cinematography handled by Anand C. Chandran, adding strong technical backing to this highly anticipated project.
