Netflix has officially unveiled the trailer of Kohrra Season 2, teasing a darker, emotionally intense murder mystery set in the fog-drenched town of Dalerpura. The new season promises a deeper dive into crime, trauma and human complexity as the critically acclaimed series returns with a fresh case and new dynamics. With haunting visuals and an unsettling atmosphere, the trailer sets the tone for a gripping narrative that explores how secrets buried beneath calm surfaces slowly come to light.
The story of Season 2 revolves around the murder of Preet Bajwa, portrayed by Pooja Bhamrrah, whose lifeless body is discovered in her brother’s barn. As investigators begin piecing together the crime, suspicion spreads across those closest to her, including her husband, played by Rannvijay Singha. The investigation is led by Assistant Sub-Inspector Amarpal Garundi, once again played by Barun Sobti, who finds himself navigating not just a complex case but also a professional reset under a new superior officer.
Joining the series this season is Mona Singh as Sub-Inspector Dhanwant Kaur, a composed and disciplined officer who brings a stark contrast to Garundi’s instinct-led approach. The trailer highlights the friction and balance between their investigative styles, as the duo navigate a maze of lies, fractured relationships and unresolved emotional wounds. As the case deepens, the narrative explores how personal grief and past trauma influence the pursuit of truth.
Barun Sobti has described Garundi as more introspective this season, revealing that while the character hopes for a fresh beginning, his past continues to shadow him. The mystery, according to Sobti, is more layered and emotionally demanding, mirroring Garundi’s own inner struggles. Mona Singh, on the other hand, portrays Dhanwant Kaur as a woman of few words but strong resolve, burdened by loss and the pressure of proving herself in a male-dominated space.
Produced by A Film Squad in association with Act Three, Kohrra Season 2 is helmed by Sudip Sharma and Faisal Rahman, with Sharma making his directorial debut. The series is created and written by Gunjit Chopra, Diggi Sisodia and Sudip Sharma, continuing the grounded, character-driven storytelling that defined the first season. Kohrra Season 2 is set to premiere on Netflix on February 11, raising expectations for another intense chapter in the franchise.
