Toxic Seals Historic Overseas Deal with Phars Film for Indian Language Versions

The highly anticipated film Toxic, starring Yash, has already rewritten the rules of the game even before its release. Following a record ₹120 crore distribution deal for its Telugu version, Toxic has now secured one of the largest overseas acquisitions for an Indian film. The deal, valued at ₹105 crore on a commission basis, was made with Phars Film, one of the leading international distributors, specifically for the film's Indian-language versions (Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, and Malayalam). This unprecedented move highlights the film’s strong appeal in international markets and sets a new benchmark for global film releases.

The announcement comes after Yash's previous success with KGF: Chapter 2, which achieved phenomenal success worldwide, particularly in the GCC region. Building on this legacy, Toxic is gearing up for the widest international rollout ever for an Indian film, with releases planned across nearly all global territories, except Nepal, Japan, and China. The film’s producer, Venkat K. Narayana from KVN Productions, highlighted the strategic partnership with Phars Films, citing their global reach and expertise in placing Indian cinema in international markets. This collaboration aims to elevate Toxic to unprecedented heights, with expectations of it becoming a 1000 crore mega-blockbuster.

Directed by Geetu Mohandas, Toxic promises to be a visual spectacle, supported by a world-class technical team, including National Award-winning cinematographer Rajeev Ravi and Hollywood action director JJ Perry (known for John Wick). The film is poised to make a major impact in the global cinematic scene when it releases worldwide on March 19, 2026, aligning with the festive dates of Eid, Ugadi, and Gudi Padwa, further amplifying its cross-cultural appeal.
