Shah Rukh Khan Works Relentlessly Despite Spine Issues, Reveals Govind Namdev

Veteran actor Govind Namdev recently opened up about Shah Rukh Khan's unyielding work ethic despite dealing with severe health issues. Namdev, who worked with Khan on the 2000 film Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani, revealed that Khan’s commitment to his craft remained steadfast even as he faced significant physical pain, especially related to his spine and back. Speaking to Lallantop, Namdev mentioned how Khan never allowed his ongoing back and spinal problems to affect his professionalism on set. According to him, despite enduring immense discomfort, Khan continued to rehearse, perform, and interact with the crew without any complaints, setting a strong example of resilience.

Namdev recalled the discipline that Khan displayed during their collaboration, noting how it had a profound impact on everyone around him. His ability to push through the pain served as a lesson in professionalism and dedication. As a result, crew members were motivated to give their best, fostering a sense of camaraderie and mutual respect on the set. Namdev emphasized that seeing Khan work through physical discomfort showed the team that there were no excuses when it came to delivering high-quality work.

As Khan continues to push forward despite his health struggles, his upcoming project, King, directed by Siddharth Anand, is highly anticipated. The film, backed by Red Chillies Entertainment and Marflix Pictures, is set for release on December 24, 2026, and also stars Suhana Khan, Deepika Padukone, and Abhishek Bachchan. Based on Namdev’s observations, it is clear that Shah Rukh Khan will continue to bring the same intensity to the screen, despite his physical challenges.
