The revival of the Telangana Gaddar Film Awards in 2024 has brought fresh energy and recognition to Telugu cinema. Introduced by the Telangana government, these awards have quickly established themselves as one of the most respected honors in the industry. The inaugural edition celebrating films from 2024 witnessed strong competition from both blockbuster hits and smaller content driven films, setting a high standard for future editions.
Among the standout winners, Geetha Arts and its associated banner GA2 Pictures made a strong impact. The film AAY emerged as a major highlight by winning the Best Wholesome Entertainment Film award, turning it into a sensation. This recognition not only showcased the film’s wide appeal but also reinforced the banner’s ability to deliver content that connects with audiences across different segments.
By the time the 2025 awards were announced, Geetha Arts, led by Allu Aravind, had clearly established itself as a dominant force in Telugu cinema. Reports indicated that films associated with the banner secured several top honors across key categories, including acting and best feature film awards. This consistent performance reflects both commercial success and critical appreciation.
The 2025 edition further strengthened this dominance with films like Thandel and The Girlfriend receiving major awards. Multiple projects linked to the banner performed exceptionally well, making Geetha Arts one of the most talked about production houses during the awards season. Their success is not just about winning trophies but about maintaining a steady track record of quality filmmaking. Geetha Arts continues to focus on selecting projects that balance star appeal with strong storytelling. This strategy has helped the banner stay relevant and successful in a competitive industry, proving that consistency and content driven choices are key to long term success.
