Dhurandhar: The Revenge continues to break records at the box office, reaching a monumental milestone on its sixth day of release. The film, directed by Aditya Dhar and starring Ranveer Singh, has now become the first Bollywood series to surpass Rs 2,000 crore in combined worldwide collections. This includes both Dhurandhar and its sequel Dhurandhar 2, making it the only Indian franchise to achieve the feat of having two Rs 500 crore films in a single language.
As of now, Dhurandhar 2 has grossed Rs 919 crore worldwide, climbing to the top of the highest-grossing Indian films list. It has surpassed Kantara Chapter 1, which previously stood at Rs 852.36 crore, marking another achievement for the Dhurandhar franchise. It joins only Baahubali and Pushpa series as the third Indian film series to achieve a combined collection of Rs 2,000 crore. The Dhurandhar films now stand as a game-changer in the Indian film industry.
The film has also performed exceptionally well in the domestic market, grossing Rs 575.65 crore nett in India within its first six days. Dhurandhar 2 recorded Rs 56.55 crore nett on its sixth day, contributing to a six-day total of Rs 575.65 crore nett in India. The India gross now stands at Rs 687.43 crore.
Dhurandhar 2’s overseas collections have also been stellar, with Rs 231.57 crore after six days. The film has registered impressive numbers in North America, with even weekdays seeing packed houses. A report from British Indian Voice on X also claimed that the film has set a record for the biggest single-day collection in the UK-Ireland circuit and became the fastest Indian film to reach the £2 million (Rs 25.17 crore) mark.
Trade analysts predict that Dhurandhar 2 will soon join the ranks of films like Pushpa 2, RRR, KGF 2, Baahubali 2, and its own predecessor Dhurandhar in the Rs 1,000 crore club. With ongoing discussions around the film’s politics, music, performances, and twists, Dhurandhar 2 continues to dominate the box office, reshaping the landscape for Indian cinema.
