Deepika Padukone To Use Body Double In Raaka After Pregnancy Reveal

Deepika Padukone To Use Body Double In Raaka After Pregnancy Reveal
Deepika Padukone will continue her key role in Raaka, with a body double handling action scenes during her pregnancy. The Atlee directorial, also starring Allu Arjun, is expected to release in 2027.

Deepika Padukone continues to play a central role in Raaka despite announcing her second pregnancy. According to reports, the makers of the film, directed by Atlee, have decided to retain her character without any changes to the storyline. While she will continue filming her emotional and dramatic scenes, a body double will be used for physically demanding action sequences.

The film, which also stars Allu Arjun, has been generating strong buzz due to its scale and casting. Sources suggest that Deepika’s role carries a significant emotional arc and remains a key driving force in the narrative. Her entry and major action moments alongside Allu Arjun are expected to be highlights, even though some of those scenes will now be executed using a double.

The decision to use a body double reflects a practical approach by the makers to ensure both safety and continuity in production. Deepika Padukone, who recently shared news of her pregnancy with husband Ranveer Singh, is continuing to balance her personal life and professional commitments. She had earlier welcomed their first child, Dua, in 2024, and the couple’s growing family has been widely followed by fans.

Despite the adjustments, Raaka is moving ahead as planned and is expected to release in 2027. With Atlee’s direction and a powerful cast, the film is shaping up to be a major project in Indian cinema. The combination of star power, action, and emotional storytelling keeps audience expectations high as more updates continue to emerge.
