The makers of Bhogi have unveiled the first look of Anupama Parameswaran, introducing her as Kandula Sulochana Rani in this rustic period drama. Starring Sharwanand in the lead, the film is directed by Sampath Nandi and is already generating buzz with its grounded storytelling and raw visual tone.

Anupama’s look stands out for its authenticity. She is seen portraying a village woman, dressed in a simple half-saree, balancing a basket of Moduga leaves on her head while holding more leaves and a lunch box. The backdrop of mud houses and cattle enhances the rural setting, offering a realistic glimpse into her character’s everyday life.

Kandula Sulochana Rani is portrayed as a hardworking woman whose livelihood revolves around crafting plates from forest leaves. The character reflects resilience and quiet strength, with subtle expressions hinting at deeper struggles beneath her routine life. Anupama has reportedly worked on mastering the regional dialect and body language to bring authenticity to the role, aligning with the film’s rugged narrative style.

The story is set in the early 1960s along the Telangana–Maharashtra border, adding a historical dimension to the film. The raw setting and character-driven approach indicate that Bhogi will focus heavily on realism rather than commercial gloss.

The film’s production is progressing steadily, with the next shooting schedule planned in Hyderabad during the first week of May. Actress Dimple Hayathi plays the other female lead, adding further appeal to the cast.
