The production of Prabhas's upcoming film Fauzi has been paused following a tragic road accident near Hyderabad that claimed the life of one crew member and left five others injured. The incident occurred while the film's crew was traveling to Ramoji Film City. Reports indicate that the vehicle carrying the crew lost control and collided with a cement divider block near Abdullapurmet, a location on the outskirts of Hyderabad, near the Toopranpet Bridge. The Choutuppal Police Station is handling the case, and while the identity of the deceased crew member has not been disclosed, the others were rushed to a nearby hospital for medical attention. The production team has yet to issue an official statement regarding the accident.
Despite the tragic setback, Fauzi is reported to be nearing completion, with about 80 percent of the shoot already completed. According to Mythri Movie Makers CEO Cherry, only a few action sequences featuring Prabhas remain to be filmed. The film, which stars Prabhas alongside Imanvi, Mithun Chakraborty, and Jaya Prada, is still on track for a potential release in October. This would mark a major milestone for Prabhas, who is expected to appear twice on the big screen in 2026.
The incident comes just days after unauthorized images from the set of Fauzi were leaked online, sparking a warning from the film’s official social media handles. The makers have urged the public to refrain from sharing leaked content, citing that such actions could affect the overall experience of the film, which is designed to be far greater than what is being shared online. Despite these disruptions, the makers remain hopeful that the film will make its planned Dussehra release, providing fans with a spectacular viewing experience.
