Tamil cinema is gearing up for one of its biggest cinematic collaborations as Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan are reportedly set to reunite on screen after several decades. The ambitious two-hero project will be directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, whose recent films have delivered major commercial success and strong fan appeal.
According to the latest reports from the industry, actress Trisha Krishnan is likely to play a key role in the film. While the makers are yet to officially confirm her inclusion, the buzz around her casting has already generated massive excitement among fans. Sources suggest that if Trisha signs the project, she is expected to receive one of the highest remunerations of her career.
Trisha has maintained her position as one of the top actresses in South Indian cinema for more than two decades. She previously shared screen space with Kamal Haasan in films such as Manmadan Ambu, Thoongaa Vanam, and Thug Life. She also worked with Rajinikanth in the blockbuster film Petta, where her performance received strong appreciation from audiences.
Director Nelson Dilipkumar is currently working on the final version of the script, and the production team is expected to begin principal photography soon. Expectations surrounding the film are extremely high, with many trade analysts predicting that the movie could become the first Tamil film to cross the Rs 1000 crore mark at the worldwide box office.
On the professional front, Trisha continues to stay busy with multiple projects. She is currently working on Ma and is awaiting the theatrical release of Karuppu, starring Suriya, scheduled to hit theatres on May 14, 2026. She is also part of Chiranjeevi’s fantasy entertainer Vishwambhara, directed by Vassishta.
