Marvel Studios has officially announced the release date for the highly anticipated series VisionQuest, which will bring Paul Bettany back as Vision for the final chapter of the WandaVision trilogy. The news was unveiled during Disney’s 2026 Upfronts event in New York City on May 12, where Marvel highlighted the project as a significant part of its Phase Six slate.
The series is set to stream on Disney+ starting October 14, 2026, and will focus on the “White Vision” version of the character, who was last seen in WandaVision flying away after regaining his memories. VisionQuest will explore Vision’s journey of rebuilding his identity after the events following Avengers: Infinity War, delving into themes of consciousness, memory, and what it means to be human.
As the concluding chapter of the WandaVision storyline, VisionQuest will also tie into larger upcoming MCU films such as Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars. The series will feature familiar MCU faces, including James Spader, who reprises his role as Ultron for the first time since Avengers: Age of Ultron. The cast also includes Ruaridh Mollica as Tommy Maximoff / Speed, James D’Arcy as J.A.R.V.I.S., and Todd Stashwick as Paladin. Additionally, AI-driven characters such as Jocasta, E.D.I.T.H., and F.R.I.D.A.Y. will expand the technological universe of the show.
Created by Terry Matalas, known for his work on Star Trek: Picard, VisionQuest will take on a cerebral, sci-fi tone with a narrative exploring fragmented memory and surreal digital landscapes, as Vision confronts remnants of Ultron and his own past consciousness.
VisionQuest will release in eight episodes, with one episode airing each week on Disney+ globally. In India, the streaming partner has not been confirmed, though it is expected to be available on JioHotstar. The confirmed release date for the series is October 14, 2026, making it one of the most highly awaited additions to the MCU’s Phase Six.
