Despite a 10.8% drop from Monday’s Rs 14.30 crore, the fantasy action drama has remained consistent, bringing its five-day India nett to Rs 95.05 crore. The film has benefited from packed shows, positive word of mouth, and audience enthusiasm, solidifying its status as one of the biggest commercial successes in Tamil cinema this year.

Across the country, the Tamil version contributed Rs 10.55 crore from 4,362 shows, achieving 42% occupancy, while the Telugu version added Rs 2.20 crore from 1,731 shows, recording 24% occupancy. The Tamil audience response grew throughout the day, rising from 25.38% in morning shows to 56.69% for night screenings, reflecting sustained interest and engagement.

Global Collections Boost and Overall Impact

The film also performed well internationally, adding approximately Rs 4 crore from overseas markets on Day 5. This pushed Karuppu’s total global gross to Rs 161.04 crore, marking a significant milestone in Suriya’s career. Released on 6,093 screens in India, the film opened with Rs 15.50 crore nett on Friday, climbed to Rs 24.15 crore on Saturday, peaked at Rs 28.35 crore on Sunday, then collected Rs 14.30 crore on Monday and Rs 12.75 crore on Tuesday.
