The trailer for Maa Behen, starring Madhuri Dixit, Triptii Dimri and Dharna Durga, gives a glimpse of chaotic family drama and comedy.
The Netflix film Maa Behen, directed by Suresh Triveni, has unveiled its trailer, teasing a mix of comedy, crime, and family drama. Starring Madhuri Dixit as Rekha, Triptii Dimri as Jaya, and Dharna Durga as Sushma, the film revolves around a dysfunctional family whose lives spiral into chaos after discovering a dead body in their house. The trailer highlights frantic cover-ups, nosy neighbours, and emotional meltdowns in Adarsh Colony, setting the tone for a full-blown neighbourhood scandal. The narrative combines suspenseful moments with humorous family dynamics, giving the film a unique blend of entertainment that balances absurdity with warmth.
Apart from the leading trio, the cast includes Ravi Kishan as Guptaji, Geetanjali Kulkarni as Guptain, Arunoday Singh as Maheshwari, and Shardul Bhardwaj as Manas. The story, written by Suresh Triveni and Pooja Tolani, is complemented by Tolani’s screenplay and dialogues. Abundantia Entertainment, in association with Opening Image Films, produces the movie. The cast describes their characters as layered and unpredictable, with Madhuri Dixit portraying a mother unlike conventional Hindi cinema roles. Triptii Dimri’s Jaya is a responsible daughter navigating the surrounding chaos, while Dharna Durga emphasizes sisterly banter and comedic elements. The trailer effectively showcases the film’s central joke – while some families pass down values, this one passes down “kaand.” Scheduled for streaming on Netflix from June 4, Maa Behen promises a combination of humor, warmth, and chaotic entertainment, appealing to fans of family-centric comedies and crime dramas.
