Will Nagabandham’s divine theme catch Delhi’s attention?

The bigger question now is whether Nagabandham can catch the attention of senior political leaders in Delhi. In recent years, films rooted in Indian tradition, mythology and devotional storytelling have received strong reactions from audiences across regions. Movies such as Kantara, HanuMan and Karthikeya became widely discussed not only for their box office performance but also for their cultural and spiritual themes. Several BJP leaders from the North had earlier appreciated such films and their makers, giving them additional visibility outside their original markets.

When asked about the chance of showcasing the film to major political leaders or attracting attention from Delhi, the makers reportedly said that every filmmaker would want a Sanathana Dharma-based film to reach a larger audience. However, they also suggested that approaching big national leaders may be something they consider more seriously for a sequel, as they feel the current team is still growing in scale.
Even so, a film like Nagabandham has the potential to benefit from strong word of mouth if its content connects with audiences. A nod from influential leaders or cultural voices could help the film gain greater visibility in northern markets, especially because the story is connected to ancient temples, hidden traditions and spiritual mystery. Directed by Abhishek Nama, the film stars Virat Karrna and Nabha Natesh in lead roles.
