Dhanush’s DxV poster sparks Venkat Prabhu sci-fi film buzz
Dhanush has once again sent social media into overdrive with a mysterious poster teasing an important announcement on July 10, 2026. The actor shared a cryptic visual carrying the letters “DxV,” immediately sparking speculation about a possible collaboration with filmmaker Venkat Prabhu.
The poster does not officially reveal the title, director or storyline of the project. However, the “D x V” combination has led many fans and industry observers to speculate that it could represent Dhanush and Venkat Prabhu. Reports have also linked the announcement to a potential new project tentatively discussed as D56, although official confirmation is still awaited.
The futuristic presentation of the teaser has also triggered speculation that the film could explore a science-fiction or time-travel concept. Some reports have suggested that Venkat Prabhu had been associated with the idea of a time-travel project, further increasing curiosity around the mysterious announcement. However, the genre and storyline remain unconfirmed at this stage.
Dhanush-Venkat Prabhu combination creates huge buzz
A potential collaboration between Dhanush and Venkat Prabhu has quickly become the biggest talking point surrounding the poster. Dhanush is known for experimenting with different genres, while Venkat Prabhu has previously explored unconventional commercial concepts, making the possible combination an exciting prospect for Tamil cinema audiences.
Adding to the speculation, composer Sai Abhyankkar has also been connected to discussions surrounding Dhanush’s current film lineup. He is already composing music for OM, the actor’s film directed by Rajkumar Periasamy, and had earlier spoken about preparing a special album for that project. Social media discussions are now divided over whether the July 10 announcement concerns a completely new Dhanush-Venkat Prabhu film or another development connected to the actor’s expanding slate. The clearest confirmed detail from the cryptic campaign is that more information is expected on July 10.
OM and Dhanush’s packed film lineup
Meanwhile, Dhanush’s OM is a separate project directed by Rajkumar Periasamy. The film, previously referred to as D55, was officially titled OM in June 2026 and is scheduled for theatrical release on October 16, 2026. Sai Abhyankkar is associated with the film’s music. The new DxV poster has therefore created fresh interest beyond OM, with fans eagerly trying to decode whether Dhanush is preparing to officially announce another ambitious film. The actor’s decision to reveal only a cryptic combination of letters has successfully generated widespread curiosity ahead of the July 10 announcement. Until the official reveal arrives, reports linking DxV with Venkat Prabhu and a possible sci-fi or time-travel story remain speculation. Nevertheless, the mysterious poster has already achieved its purpose by creating strong anticipation around what could become one of Dhanush’s most intriguing upcoming projects.
