Balakrishna reportedly suffered a ligament injury while filming an NBK 111 action scene near Kakinada Port. Doctors are said to have recommended minor surgery, raising concerns about his recovery and the film’s upcoming shooting schedule.
Balakrishna Injured on NBK 111 Set, Surgery Reported
Nandamuri Balakrishna has reportedly suffered a leg injury while filming an action sequence for NBK 111 near Kakinada Port in Andhra Pradesh. According to an entertainment report published on Tuesday, July 21, the actor was taken to a hospital after the incident, where doctors reportedly identified a ligament tear and advised a minor surgical procedure. No official medical bulletin or production-house statement was cited in the initial report.
Balakrishna Injury Reported During Kakinada Action Shoot
The latest schedule of NBK 111 was planned across Kakinada Port and Rajahmundry Central Jail from July 17 to July 23. The unit was reportedly filming a fight scene when Balakrishna sustained the injury. He was moved for medical evaluation soon after, and the report said he may need minor surgery followed by several weeks of rest.
The exact seriousness of the injury and the recovery period will become clear only after an official update from the actor’s representatives, doctors or the production team. Until then, details about the procedure and his return date remain unconfirmed.
NBK 111 Production May Face Temporary Schedule Change
Balakrishna’s reported recovery break could affect the ongoing portions of the film. The makers may have to rearrange scenes that do not require him or pause the action schedule until he is medically cleared to resume work.
NBK 111 is directed by Gopichand Malineni and produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru under the Vriddhi Cinemas banner. S Thaman is composing the music. Recent production updates also say Kajal Aggarwal has joined the shoot, replacing earlier reports that connected Nayanthara with the female lead role.
Balakrishna and Gopichand Malineni Reunite After Veera Simha Reddy
The project reunites Balakrishna and Gopichand Malineni after Veera Simha Reddy, their 2023 Sankranthi action drama. Their second collaboration has created strong interest among fans, especially after the makers released the NBK 111 glimpse and continued filming large-scale action portions in different locations.
The film is being positioned as a mass action entertainer, and reports indicate that Balakrishna may appear in a dual role. The team has not officially announced a theatrical release date.
Balakrishna Recovery and Upcoming Film Commitments
Balakrishna also has a separate project with director Koratala Siva, commonly referred to as NBK 112. His immediate priority, however, is expected to be treatment and recovery. Any change to either film’s schedule will depend on medical advice and decisions by the respective production teams.
Fans are now awaiting a verified health update from Balakrishna or the NBK 111 makers. More clarity is expected once the production house releases a formal statement about his condition, treatment and return to filming.
