Hyderabad, Telangana — The makers unveiled Zombie Reddy2 NXT LVL on Teja Sajja’s birthday, promising a larger and bloodier return to the zombie universe.
Teja Sajja is back in the zombie universe with Zombie Reddy2 NXT LVL, the officially announced sequel to Zombie Reddy. Unveiled on the actor’s birthday, the title glimpse introduces a bigger, more action-heavy chapter that expands the franchise’s world with zombies, high-speed chaos and a striking Hyderabad setting.
The glimpse opens in reverse order with a zombie falling from a flyover onto a truck. The mystery surrounding the fall gradually leads to Teja Sajja’s character, who is shown driving a car as the undead close in around him.
The action then moves to Charminar, where Teja stands on top of a car armed with a cricket bat as zombie hordes surround him. His line, “This time, next level,” leads into the title reveal: Zombie Reddy2 NXT LVL.
The announcement video signals that the sequel will retain the youthful, irreverent tone of the first film while taking the scale, action and visual ambition several steps higher. The makers are positioning the new film as a bloodier and more intense addition to the franchise.
Zombie Reddy2 NXT LVL Brings Upendra And Shanaya Kapoor To Cast
Real Star Upendra joins Teja Sajja in an important role, adding major star value to the project. Shanaya Kapoor is also part of the cast and is set to make her Telugu cinema debut with the film.
Teja appears in a familiar avatar, complete with spectacles, but the new glimpse suggests that his character will face a far more dangerous world this time. The sequel’s title logo, designed like a joystick with a zombie hand, adds a video-game-inspired touch to the franchise’s chaotic and youthful identity.
Zombie Reddy2 NXT LVL is created and co-written by Prasanth Varma, who directed the original Zombie Reddy and helped establish the zombie genre in Telugu cinema. Suparn S Varma is directing the sequel.
The project is produced by TG Vishwa Prasad and Krithi Prasad under the People Media Factory banner. It reunites Teja Sajja with the production house after their successful collaboration on Mirai.

The film has Gowra Hari as music composer. The glimpse features a distinctive soundtrack that blends Telangana folk elements, contemporary sounds and eerie zombie-style effects, helping create a high-energy atmosphere.
Abhinandan Ramanujam is handling cinematography, while Banglan is the production designer and Vijay Velukutty is the editor. The screenplay credits include Hussain Dalal, Abbas Dalal, Prasanth Varma and Suparn S Varma, with Subbu K writing the dialogues.
The technical team suggests that the makers are planning a larger-scale genre entertainer with strong visual design and a wider pan-Indian appeal. The glimpse’s action blocks, especially the Charminar sequence, have already become a key talking point among fans.
Zombie Reddy2 NXT LVL Eyes Global 2027 Release
Zombie Reddy2 NXT LVL, also referred to as Zombie Reddy2 NXT LVL: Dead Or Alive, is targeting a global release in 2027. The film is planned for release in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Hindi, Nepali and Japanese.
The multilingual strategy gives the sequel a broader reach than the original and reflects the growing market for Telugu genre films outside India. With Teja Sajja, Upendra and Shanaya Kapoor leading the cast, the sequel has positioned itself as a major zombie action entertainer for 2027.
